ANSC-Calhoun Business Expo Brings Employment, Empowerment & Entrepreneurship to Anniston
Calhoun County, AL — The Alabama New South Coalition-Calhoun proudly presents the ANSC Business Expo, a free community event dedicated to expanding employment opportunities, business development, financial wellness, and entrepreneurial growth. The event takes place on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Anniston City Meeting Center, located in the heart of downtown Anniston.
This isn’t just another job fair — it’s an EXPO designed to uplift the entire community. Attendees will have the chance to connect directly with employers, staffing agencies, and government entities offering real job opportunities. In addition to hiring, the event includes:
- Resume Building & Interview Coaching
- Financial Literacy & Wealth Building Workshops (Investments, Insurance, Estate Planning)
- Vendor & Creator Marketplace featuring local cuisine, baked goods, crafts, and stories of community entrepreneurship
- Resource Groups supporting community development, including Voting Education, Chamber of Commerce, Credit Unions, and more
“This event is one of many efforts to bridge the gap between need and opportunity,” said Shirley Hayes, ANSC Calhoun Officer and organizer of the event. “Whether you’re looking for a job, launching a business, or seeking financial stability, this is a space for you to connect, grow, and thrive.”
How to Participate:
- For Employers & Resource Organizations: Share your employment opportunities and services. Staffing services, small businesses, first responders, government agencies — we welcome you.
- For Vendors & Food Trucks: Sell products and food for a $30 table fee (fee waived for non-sellers). Food trucks must be certified by ACMC and operate outside the building.
- Volunteers: We’re seeking helping hands for at least 2 hours of support during the event.
- Set-Up Time: 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Doors Open to Public at 11:00 AM

Important Guidelines:
- No smoking or alcohol inside the building
- No decorations or signage on walls
- Children must remain supervised in designated areas
- Multiple tables available at no charge for non-sellers
