The award committee considers books based on criteria like the visual experience provided to children, the book’s storyline, and the illustrator’s artistic execution. Ultimately, it’s about recognizing illustrations that are both technically skilled and effectively convey the story, theme, or concept of the book.
To end our summer of reading, I’m challenging you to read 25 Caldecott Books from The Lucy!!! This challenge is for ages 2-14. These are all excellent books!! If you complete the challenge, bring your sheet in for a prize by July 25th at 4:00!!
