Birmingham, AL – Law enforcement officers from across Alabama earned top honors at the 2025 World Police & Fire Games, held June 27 through July 6 in Birmingham. The international multi-sport event brought together public safety professionals from around the globe to compete in a wide range of athletic competitions.
Among those recognized was Officer Miranda Schoening of the Oxford Police Department, who secured the bronze medal in the female weightlifting competition. Her performance highlighted not only her athletic capabilities but also her commitment to excellence in public service.
The World Police & Fire Games are organized by the Birmingham Host Committee, a nonprofit entity focused on honoring public safety officers through athletic competition and community engagement. The event showcased Birmingham as a global hub for public service excellence and sportsmanship.
