CLEBURNE COUNTY — A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, has claimed the life of a Georgia man.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Hollis L. Stewart, 58, of Jonesboro, Ga., was fatally injured when the 2013 Temsa TS35 passenger coach he was driving collided with a 2019 Peterbilt truck. The Peterbilt was driven by 69-year-old Danny C. Murphy of Leighton, Ala.
Stewart, who was the sole occupant of the passenger coach, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash took place on Interstate 20 near the 196 mile marker, approximately three miles west of Heflin, in Cleburne County.
No additional details have been released as ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the incident.
