HEFLIN, AL — The community is invited to come out and support Cleburne County High School students this Friday, May 2, during a special fundraising event hosted at the Heflin branch of First Bank of Alabama.
The event, which runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 654 Ross Street in Heflin, will feature a bake sale and food trucks, all benefiting the school’s FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) and FACS (Family and Consumer Sciences) programs. Food trucks will be on-site from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., offering a variety of tasty options for lunch.
Proceeds from the event will help cover travel and competition expenses for students who have earned the opportunity to compete at the FCCLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida.
Organizers are encouraging the public to stop by, enjoy some sweet treats and great eats, and show their support for local students representing Cleburne County on a national stage.
