HEFLIN, AL – On Friday, June 13, 2025, the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Department, with assistance from the Ranburne Police Department and the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit, executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence located in the 700 block of County Road 41. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into suspected illegal drug activity in the area.
According to the sheriff’s department, deputies seized a trafficking quantity of methamphetamines, multiple firearms, and various items of drug paraphernalia during the search. One individual was taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Robbye Christopher Roberts, a 67-year-old white male from Heflin, AL, was arrested and charged with Felony Trafficking Methamphetamines and Misdemeanor Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Roberts was booked into custody with bond set at $300,000 cash for the trafficking charge and $3,000 for the possession charge.
As with all criminal cases, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sheriff Jon Daniel commended the teamwork displayed during the investigation, stating, “I am proud of the work done by the Deputies in this investigation and the assistance provided by Ranburne Police Department and the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit. This is another example of our commitment to targeting illegal drug activity that threatens the safety of our communities. We will continue to pursue those who choose to distribute dangerous illegal narcotics in Cleburne County.”
