Cleburne County Prepares for Municipal Elections on August 26

Municipal Elections

Cleburne County, AL – Voters across Cleburne County will head to the polls on Tuesday, August 26, to participate in municipal elections. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in all participating municipalities.

In the City of Heflin, all positions were filled without opposition, meaning no contested races will appear on the ballot. The following candidates, including the incumbent mayor and city council members, will continue to serve for the next four years:

  • Mayor: Robby Brown

  • City Council Districts:

    • Travis Crowe

    • Rhonda Heard

    • Clinton “Shag” Austin

    • Shannon Roberts

    • Rhonda Green

Ranburne voters will cast their ballots for mayor, as three candidates are seeking the position: incumbent Rodney Brown, Trevor Kribbs, and Andrew Pierce. The town council race will not appear on the ballot, as each of the five council candidates is running unopposed:

  • Seat 1: Dennis Anglin

  • Seat 2: Josh Caldwell

  • Seat 3: Mitzi Smith

  • Seat 4: Freddie Butler

  • Seat 5: Jade Lovvorn

All registered voters in these municipalities are encouraged to review their local candidates and plan to vote on Election Day.
