Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Retail Association is now accepting nominations for the 2025 Alabama Retailer of the Year awards, with the submission deadline set for Friday, May 16.
Now in its 25th year, the annual awards program highlights retailers across the state who exhibit excellence in business practices, innovation, and community involvement. These awards honor Alabama-based retailers who have made significant contributions to their communities, customers, and employees.
“Alabama is home to thriving, inventive, and community-driven shops and restaurants,” said Rick Brown, president of the Alabama Retail Association. “We are excited to showcase their success and contributions.”
Eligible nominees must own, operate, or manage a retail business with a physical location in Alabama. Retail operations can include businesses that sell food, clothing, gifts, hardware, outdoor equipment, furniture, pharmaceuticals, jewelry, shoes, and more. To qualify, businesses must collect both state and local sales tax.
“No matter where you reside in the state, or the size of your community, you likely know a local retailer who is making an impact. We hope you will nominate them for this recognition,” Brown added.
